To unlock The Blast Wagon in Over the Hill, complete Windcall Gorge Trail in Gimli Ridge, Canada. First completion awards the vehicle and 25 Pebbles. You do not buy the vehicle from the Mechanic, and collecting a cosmetic for another truck does not satisfy the unlock.
Identify the vehicle reward

The Blast Wagon is a workhorse pickup with a cargo bed. Its body is distinct from the shorter trail vehicles, but appearance alone does not tell you where it unlocks. The required activity is Windcall Gorge Trail; keep that full name in mind when checking the five challenges in Gimli Ridge.
Reach the correct area
Gimli Ridge is one of the three Canadian areas. Emerald Lake connects to it through Ferry to the Ridge. Within Gimli Ridge, Tunnel to Asgard Mountain leads onward to Asgard Mountain, while Ferry to the Mountain leads back to Emerald Lake.

Complete Windcall Gorge Trail
| Trail detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Area | Gimli Ridge |
| Checkpoints | 20 |
| Route length between checkpoints | About 820 m |
| Ascent | 40 m |
| Descent | 20 m |
| Highest checkpoint above start | 37 m |
| Straight-line start-to-finish distance | 478 m |
| Abandonment distance | 100 m |
| First-completion reward | The Blast Wagon and 25 Pebbles |
The approximately 820 m figure is an estimate made by joining consecutive checkpoints with straight lines; it is not a tested odometer distance. That estimate and the 478 m direct start-to-finish distance measure different things. The shorter figure is not a shortcut instruction: the challenge depends on passing checkpoints along the route. A direct drive toward the endpoint can leave the intended line and abandon the activity.
- Enter Windcall Gorge Trail at its marked start.
- Follow the checkpoint sequence instead of aiming only for the finish.
- Keep the vehicle close to the route. The trail resets once you are more than 100 m from every checkpoint.
- Complete the final checkpoint and check that the challenge credits the finish.
- Confirm The Blast Wagon is available before spending Pebbles on its upgrades.
In co-op, every player must reach the checkpoints personally. Helping a friend cross an obstacle does not automatically complete that objective for your own driver. If several people want the pickup, keep the group moving through the route instead of sending one person ahead to finish for everyone.
Prepare without assuming a required build
No specific entry vehicle or mandatory upgrade list is verified for Windcall Gorge Trail. Choose a car you can control and arrive with its condition restored. Cabins repair vehicles fully and refill tools, giving you a useful place to prepare before starting.
Winches and planks support difficult driving situations, but they do not remove the trail's checkpoint requirements. If you recover away from the marked line, watch the abandonment distance before committing to a long detour. The rule applies to distance from every checkpoint rather than distance from the start alone.
Read its specifications at the right upgrade tier
The Blast Wagon weighs 2,800 kg. It has 0.48 m wheel radius, 45 cm suspension travel, 28-degree maximum steering angle, and large work tires with listed forward and cornering grip of 1.30 and 1.27. Its two forward ratios are 4.7 and 3.5.
| Engine tier | Peak torque |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 175 Nm |
| Tier 2 | 190 Nm |
| Tier 3 | 207 Nm |
The frequently quoted 207 Nm figure is the Tier 3 value. Do not expect the newly unlocked stock vehicle to have that output before buying its engine upgrades. Upgrades belong to individual vehicles, so improvements bought for your previous truck do not transfer automatically.
The pickup is 5.3 m long and 1.9 m wide in the vehicle data. Its larger wheels and strong tire grip make it a useful heavier choice, but the long body and 28-degree steering still matter when positioning it on a narrow route. Unlocking it gives you a different chassis, not a guarantee that every obstacle becomes easier.
If the unlock does not appear
Check the activity name first: Fraser Research Boardwalk, Elvis Rim Trail, Bridal Veil Falls Climb, and Waddington Scree Trail have different rewards. Next, confirm that your own driver completed the checkpoint route and that the activity did not reset after a detour.
The October 16 update fixed repeat Pebble rewards for Challenge Trails and Recovery Missions. That repeat-reward fix should not be confused with a different unlock requirement: The Blast Wagon still comes from Windcall Gorge Trail. A second attempt can be useful for checking completion, but buying upgrades, changing liveries, or collecting another crate is not an alternative unlock method.
