Full Completion Checklist

Quick Answer

Track all five areas, vehicle unlocks, wildlife photographs, cosmetics and Steam achievements separately. This checklist does not establish a universal formula for the game’s map completion percentage.

For a practical full-completion run, track map objectives, vehicle unlocks, wildlife photographs, cosmetics, and Steam achievements separately. Finishing a map display does not by itself establish that every garage item, livery, or achievement is complete.

This checklist organizes those goals. It does not claim a verified universal formula for the in-game percentage, a complete cosmetic-location database, or an exact time to finish. The useful first step is to decide which completion target you are currently missing instead of clearing the same visible icons again.

Check the five areas separately

Canada contains Emerald Lake, Gimli Ridge, and Asgard Mountain. Algeria contains Tassili n'Ajjer Desert and Aurès Mountains. Keep a separate row for each area and compare your own discovered and completed objectives there.

Finding a marker and completing its activity are different actions. A trail entrance can be discovered before the final checkpoint is reached, while a recovery can have a separate destination. Use completion state where available rather than treating map visibility as a finished task.

Discovered cabins make a useful base for revisiting an area because they can be selected on the map as respawn points. Return to a known location and finish one missing category at a time.

Reconcile the garage with the vehicle list

There are 21 vehicles. Three are owned from the start: The Protector, The Ding, and The Trailrat. The other eighteen are attached to specific Challenge Trail rewards.

A garage checklist should count owned vehicles, not fully upgraded vehicles. Mechanical upgrades are bought for individual cars and do not transfer. Buying every available part therefore describes a different goal from simply unlocking all cars.

In co-op, each player must reach the trail checkpoints themselves. If a friend has a vehicle that you are missing, check your own required trail before treating the absence as a garage bug.

Review the wildlife compendium

Use the Safari Camera for wildlife photographs and review the compendium directly. A valid animal photo requires a centered subject, suitable distance, and an unobstructed view. A scenic photograph containing a small or hidden animal may not count.

White camera icon used for wildlife photography

Finding every animal in a region unlocks a reward. Do not substitute a list of map spawn markers for the compendium itself: a possible spawn position does not mean you have photographed the species successfully.

For an unresolved animal entry, record the species and area you are searching. Avoid repeatedly visiting every wildlife icon without first identifying which entry is missing.

Separate cosmetics from map progress

Crates and other activities can award cosmetics, but vehicle appearance also includes liveries tied to driving distance. A car can be owned while some of its liveries remain locked.

Distance is tracked by the individual vehicle. Driving another car does not automatically advance the distance liveries of the one you are trying to finish. When working on a specific livery, use that vehicle and check its own progress.

This checklist does not assign an unverified unlock location to every cosmetic. Use the actual missing cosmetic name to choose the next objective rather than assuming that a cleared area proves every vehicle appearance is available.

Check achievements after updating

The achievement list contains 62 entries with different kinds of requirements. Use the remaining names to identify the next task instead of assuming that clearing map markers completes every achievement.

These conditions show why several counters can finish at different times. Fleet Owner requires eighteen owned vehicles, not all twenty-one. Collector and Fleet Owner include the three starting cars, so their thresholds are not six or eighteen additional trail unlocks. Master Mechanic concerns one fully upgraded car, while Smooth Ride adds a driving condition that a normal trail completion does not demonstrate.

The passport achievement descriptions do not supply a formula for the displayed map percentage. Check the actual locked achievement as well as the area checklist rather than inventing a percentage weight for crates, animals, or viewpoints.

The October 16 update fixed some achievements that could not unlock for players who had used the Next Fest demo.

If a seemingly completed achievement remains locked, install the update and note the achievement name, game version, and whether the save began in the demo. Those details matter more than repeating an unrelated activity or deleting a save without understanding the problem.

Finish with a category audit

  • Compare discovered map markers with completed objectives in each of the five areas.
  • Count owned vehicles separately from purchased upgrades.
  • Inspect the compendium for missing animal photographs.
  • Check the individual car when a distance livery is missing.
  • Review remaining Steam achievements after updating the game.

Repeated Trails and Recovery Missions can now pay Pebbles after the October 16 fix. That makes currency acquisition possible after first-time exploration, but earning more Pebbles does not automatically resolve a missing discovery, photograph, or achievement. Identify the missing item first, then choose the activity that actually completes it.
